Plan of Salvation
Sooner or later everyone comes to a point in their life where they consider the meaning of life and their place in it. At this point, it may be helpful to consider a solution offered in the Bible. It's found in the Biblical promise of Romans 10:13, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Why should one call on the name of the Lord? And from what do we need to be saved? Good questions! The Bible says "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Sin is what alienates man from God, and calling on Him is the means of restoring one’s relationship with God that had been interrupted by sin. Calling on God involves confession and leads to the restoration of that lost relationship to God. Ephesians 2:8-9 reads, “For it is by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.”
How do you call on God?
In a sense, it's easy as:
"A-B-C"
Admit you have sinned before God and need his help.
Believe. Believe that Jesus is God's Son and died on the cross , was buried and rose the third day for you personally.
Confess. By confessing your sins to God, you are agreeing with him that you are in need of a Savior and are recognizing that you cannot save yourself.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever would believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
If you want to receive God’s Free Gift, and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can begin by praying this sample prayer……….
"Lord Jesus, please forgive my sins. Thank You for loving me and dying on the cross to save me. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me the power to walk in victory. Help me become the person that You want me to become in every area of my life, in Jesus' name, amen!"
